It's So Amazing! A Book About Eggs, Sperm, Birth, Babies, and Families Review

First of all this book arrived so fast my head spun! Way before the estimated delivery date. I ordered it brand new from a marketplace seller because it was cheaper than getting it directly from amazon. Well the book itself is amazing. Its very approachable for kids. The illustrations are cartoon-like and actually had me laughing, so different from what im used to seeing as an adult. So its very kid-friendly in that way. It covers topics like HIV/AIDS, good/bad touching, masturbation, adoption, love, sex, puberty, how the egg is fertilised and more. And there are two characters, a curious bird and a shy bee, that stay with kids throughout the book. Never thought topics like these could be presented in such a fun, approachable way for kids but this book proved me wrong! I got this for my 10 yr old and am going to get 'Its not the stork' for my 4 yr old whos constantly asking where the baby came from, and 'Its totally normal' for my 10 yr old to read in about a year or two, depending.

Great book - missbrooklyn -
This book was perfect. It helped in explaining the birds and the bees to my 10 year old daughter.. We read it together and she enjoyed it. It answered a lot of her questions, and helped me too because I wasn't sure how to approach the subject and reading a book together worked out perfectly. This is a long book, not something that can be finished in one day.

My 9 and 11 year old boys are much better informed than their friends - Stellagirl -
I began reading this book to my 9 and 11 year old boys this spring. They love it. It's very informative and so they actually know a whole lot more than other kids do who learn from playground conversations or quick parental conversations. There are some sections that I'm not ready to introduce the boys to just yet, and so I simply skip over those for now. One of the big benefits is that the boys and their dad and I now have very candid conversations. The boys are not embarassed to ask me anything. And I remind them, when they share a tidbit from the playground, that they know more than their friends. They like that a lot -- and so do I!

It's Perfectly Normal - Megan Allen - Minneapolis, MN
As I observed my granddaughter's body, moods, and emotions quickly changing, I started looking for a way to help her understand what was going on with her body. This book has provided a thorough and digestible approach to the experiences of puberty. My granddaughter reads the comics and I read the text; then we discuss all the information together. A great assist in today's rapidly changing society.
